According to The Bookseller, 'JM Classics will publish 10 books from across three centuries of publishing as its first offerings. The releases will feature livery designed by art director Sara Marafini and aim to "celebrate our favourite books which continue to delight, challenge and inspire readers today". The books will also feature specially commissioned forewords by some of the "finest contemporary writers".'

Fiona Mozley's Elmet was Shortlisted for the Booker Prize, Winner of the Polari First Book Prize, Winner of the Somerset Maugham Award, and saw Fiona Shortlisted for the Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year Award.
